Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept Mental Health Plans?

A mental health plan is not required to access counselling and cannot be accepted as counselling is not currently covered under medicare.

  • Do you offer subsided sessions for financial hardship?

A limited number of sessions are available at a reduced rate for those suffering financial hardship. Please contact me to discuss.

  • Do you offer couples counselling?

Couples counselling is considered an area of specialty. At the current time I only offer individual counselling. I may be able to help with a referral if you wish. Please contact me.

  • Do you work with children or young people?

I only work with adults (18+). Working with children and young people is another speciality area. If you require a referral please get in touch.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Cancellations and reschedules are permitted according to the terms outlined in our cancellation policy. You can find this on our booking page.

  • Do you offer private health or Medicare rebates?

Currently private health rebates are not available.

Medicare rebates are also not available as Medicare does not cover counselling.

  • How do online sessions work?

When you book and pay for your session through our secure booking platform, you will receive a confirmation email.

This email contains your link to your online sessions. Sessions are conducted via Google Meet.

You will need a secure internet connection and a private, secure place for your session. Public spaces are not recommended. You can access online sessions from anywhere in Australia.

Please read our Telehealth policy for further details as to whether an online session is right for you. You will find this on our booking page.

  • Is counselling confidential?

Whatever you discuss in counselling is confidential with the exception of certain legal and duty of care responsibilities that I have as a counsellor. These will be discussed with you at your first session.
